Summary
Adam Faulkner-Stanheight was 27 years old when he went through hell and came out with (only) a bullet wound in his shoulder and a lot of bruising on his ankle. Dr. Lawrence Gordon was 40 when he went through hell and came out without a foot. Both of them came out as completely changed individuals, for better or for worse, and were now bonded in a way only mutual survivors of a Jigsaw killer trap could be.

Lawrence sighed, seemingly more annoyed with himself than with Adam. “The kinds of sexual relationships I prefer are rather…intense,” he told him lowly. “Are you at all familiar with the BDSM lifestyle?”
Oh. Oh. Finally, the puzzle pieces clicked into place. Lawrence’s strange intensity during their first meeting, the way his interest seemed more piqued by Adam’s obedience than his flattery or flirting, the bizarre way he talked about their prospective arrangement…all of it made sense now.
Adam nodded, his throat dry. “Yeah. Uh, a little. Handcuffs, spanking– stuff like that, right?”
“Those are a bit on the tamer side, but…yes.”
He couldn’t help but scoff at that, raising his cup to his lips. “Okay, I know it literally gets you off, but you don’t have to be so condescending. I’m not your– your sub, or whatever.”
Lawrence blinked impassively. “Would you like to be?” he asked frankly, and Adam choked on his coffee.

Silver Lining; John has unexpectedly died before the nerve gas house, leaving Mark and Amanda to finish it…both are hit hard by the man’s death…but Amanda is not sleeping or eating the way she should…it is catching up with.
Mark, meanwhile, is worried about Amanda going into the house with Xavier and the needle pit…he is also scared of her changing health…but Mark hides his fears behind criticism, which slowly breaks Amanda.

When Lawrence wakes up in the hospital he's relieved to find out that both he and Adam escaped the bathroom. Adam, however, is nowhere to be found. With everyone being particularly tight-lipped about it, Lawrence is shocked when he learns that the man he was trapped with is in fact an Omega. While initially intent on putting Adam and everything that happened behind him, a combination of loneliness and the bond formed between them during their captivity has Lawrence seeking Adam out.

A few things changed evidently.
Of course there was kisses, physical affection, words of love, and sex after a certain point, but that was a given. No, what really surprised Adam after he fully moved in was how Lawrence spent money. The doctor wasn't drowning in cash and he didn't throw it around carelessly, he actually kept a very close eye on his finances, but he had more spare change than Adam could dream of. That wasn't saying much when five dollars was a blessing to the younger man, but still. Quickly, Adam found out Lawrence didn't mind spending his money on him, as long as it wasn't crazy shit.

It wasn't often they lingered in public unless necessary. Compared to Lawrence and Mark, they were both considered recluses, preferring to set up traps and plan out things with John rather than putting on a facade of normalcy. Lawrence had a job as a doctor still, and Hoffman was a detective pretending to run in circles around the Jigsaw case with that weird little FBI agent. Strahm, if Adam remembers. Something weird was going on between those two; he'd bet his life on it. But Adam and Amanda didn't have anything outside of John.
Adam wasn't getting much money in the photography business, so the kids slowly started fading until he gave up looking, and Amanda hadn't held down a job in years. That left them with a lot of free time, in which they slowly formed a bond over time. If you had told Adam he'd somehow be bonding with the woman that kidnapped him and almost fucked him over by messing up his trap, he'd call you crazy. But, instead of killing him, Amanda had saved him after John abandoned him.
