"No shit." Katsuki leaned back in his chair, arms crossing over his chest. Classic defensive posture. "The matching system is clearly broken."
"Clearly." Izuku took a breath, steeling himself for what he was about to propose. "But we both need our licenses renewed. And according to the Commission, we need to be mated to qualify."
"I'm aware, nerd."
"So, I have a proposal." Izuku met the Alpha's eyes directly, refusing to back down. "A contract relationship."
Katsuki's expression didn't change, but his scent sharpened with interest. "Go on."OR: Katsuki and Izuku are nearing 30's and as Pro Heroes, unmated alphas and omegas are seen as liability. After a hectic semester at USC, May decided to return to the 9-1-1 Dispatch as a summer job to get some extra money for her college funds. On her first day back, she gets a call from Eddie Diaz, who had an accident on his way to the airport to catch his flight for El Paso. Fearing that Eddie won't make it out alive, he asks May if he can use the call to record a message, using the moment to confess his love to Chris and Buck, and coming to terms with his sexuality. However, the 118 manages to get Eddie out on time, ensuring that he makes a full recovery. Now that May knows about Eddie's feelings, she helps him to sort it out.

Notes:
This started as my project for the April 2019 Camp NaNo, and will continue until I finish it. My intention with this was to practice writing things that are short, with a goal of getting each one under 2k. As you will see, I have failed more often than I succeeded in that regard, but baby steps I guess.The title of the series relates not to the stories, but my own stubborn determination to get this impossible project finished.

There stood Mike, frozen like a statue. In front of him, Will was bent over, digging through the fruit drawer of the refrigerator. After a moment, Will straightened up with a ripe peach in hand. Ted watched his son continue staring at the exact spot Will’s backside had just occupied, wearing an expression of pure, hopeless longing.
Ted considered quietly backing out of the room.
"For God's sake, Michael," He said, instead. "Either take something out or close the door. I'm not paying to refrigerate the whole neighborhood."
Will turned around, blinking in mild confusion.
Mike’s face bloomed bright red. The blush was quickly overtaken by a scowl. He slammed the refrigerator door hard enough to rattle every magnet on it. “I was getting something! Sorry it took more than two seconds-"
“When exactly did your mother start storing the snacks in the back pockets of Will’s jeans?”
“Oh my God.” Mike spun on his heel and stormed toward the stairs. “You are so-" The rest was lost to thundering footsteps and the inevitable slam of his bedroom door.
