Through the quiet woods, the figure moved with a breathtaking, hypnotic grace, cutting through the gray mist like a pale ribbon. Every stride was effortless, a perfect, fluid rhythm that seemed to glide just above the damp earth rather than strike it. It was beautiful. The flawless curve of the spine, the elegant length of the limbs, the way it caught the faint, ethereal glow of the moonlight filtering through the canopy. There was an uncanny, almost crystalline perfection to its silhouette as it effortlessly parted the ferns, moving with a silent, mesmerizing speed that felt completely untouched by the exhaustion of the physical world.
Then, a heavy silhouette materialized from the shadows ahead, solid and unyielding against the mist. The figure didn't hesitate, raising a matte-black rifle in a single, mechanical motion and firing a singular, deafening round. The sharp crack shattered the quiet of the woods, and the beautiful creature collapsed instantly into the dirt, its perfect rhythm broken and the forest went completely still again.
