On your usual 10-minute walk back home to your shitty, good-for-nothing, but thankfully cheap-to-rent apartment building in the middle buttfuck nowhere from the bus stop, the chill in the air feels different, making you shiver uncomfortably as if you have a pair of eyes on you.
And unfortunately for you, you find out it wasn't for no reason, as just as you were about to walk into your apartment suite, the disgusting and dirty hands of a man you've been avoiding like the plague shove you against the door next to yours.
With his grimy hands wrapped around your throat, and your vision blurring, and your hands getting weaker and weaker as they try and fail to fight him off, you were about to accept your grim fate until the door you were shoved against opens, and you feel yourself falling onto something warmer, softer, yet stronger.
Your next-door neighbour, Toji, whose name you only know because his past hook-ups would scream until the sun rose, was awoken by the chaos and ferociously opened his door in anger.
