Gustave awoke to the gray light of early morning and Verso crouched beside the bed, two fingers wrapped around his wrist.
"What," Gustave managed, "are you doing."
"Your heart rate was elevated during sleep," Verso said, matter-of-factly. "Irregular breathing patterns. I wanted to ensure you were not experiencing a medical emergency."
"I was dreaming," Gustave said, with extraordinary care. "People do that."
Verso's brow creased slightly. "Oh." A pause, and something moved through his expression that resolved before Gustave could name it. "My apologies. I have logged this for future reference." He did not let go of Gustave's wrist.
"You can let go now."
"Your pulse is still elevated."
"Because you startled me awake."
Verso stared at him, and for just a moment, something like annoyance flickered across his expression.In which Gustave comes across a destroyed android in the scrapyard. When VRS-0 wakes with no memory, neither of them are prepared for what comes next.

The pronunciation is identical, the voice emotionless. It’s a computer. Somehow, that’s even more annoying. Shut up! is what I try to say but all that comes is “Shhpp.” What?
“Incorrect, the computer says, What’s two plus two?”
What’s going on? All I get out of my mouth is whttt-ging. So I can’t speak. I need answers, so I try to open my eyes. Doesn’t work. Well, crap.

Basically, miscommunication happens (because its Batman and he doesn't communicate), and at some point, the majority of the superhero community assumes that Red Hood is Batman's 1st Robin and Nightwing is a completely different hero. Minus Donna, Roy, and Wally everyone else thinks Red Hood is the oldest. Somehow Bruce got the others to go along with the ruse. This is basically different (not connected) fics of what could happen if that were the case.

Daniel would've assumed he'd be way too uncomfortable to carry on getting himself off, knowing Armand's nearby. Instead, he finds it strangely easy to keep going. Gojo sat there for a time, absently running his fingers over the bumps and ridges of the skull. This skull was female, according to its rounder eye sockets and less prominent brow bone. There was a faint, faint echo of cursed energy still clinging to it: residuals left over from a long-dead sorcerer or curse user. This person had been powerful. Some kind of cursed speech user, but the echo of positive cursed energy meant they could self-heal their throat even as it was torn by their own power. Nearly invulnerable, like he himself was.
That hadn’t saved them. Hadn’t saved any of the people who’d been imprisoned here. Invulnerability couldn’t save people from themseves.(Gojo is stuck in the prison realm with nothing but his own thoughts and the skeletons of his predecessors for company. It goes about as well as you'd expect. Then he finds a way out, but the world he stumbles into isn't his own. Not even close.)
