At first it made me feel really queasy and sort of unnerved bc I had NO idea what was going to happen and I was deathly afraid for Karkat's wellbeing and Kankri grossed me out so terribly with everything he did at the start that it set me totally off kilter. BUT THEN I CAME TO LOVE THIS KARKAT AS EASILY AS BREATHING, EASIER, EVEN, BECAUSE HE'S ****KARKAT**** duh. SO YEAH THIS IS REALLY NEAT ACTUALLy. Despite all of the storied and dramatic events in her life, Rosalind Lalonde did not expect to be woken up at three AM by her brother messaging her about a strange artefact that appeared on his bathroom floor.
She certainly didn’t expect it to actually exist, nor expect it to act as a portal to drop them on some far-off alien planet filled with the same species of creature she had devoted her entire life to defeating.
Nor did she particularly think they would insist they are ‘revolutionaries,’ and, as a consequence, more or less on their ‘side’ on the whole ‘overthrowing the established government and defeating Her Imperious Condescension.’
Or educate ‘low and midbloods’ on the simple concept of ‘friendship and not murdering each other,’ depending on who specifically she asked.
