An alternate first meeting, where Ghost and Soap meet each other in the field under infinitely worse circumstances than either of them would have liked:
Ghost wakes up in a pit under a building with a bomb attached to him, certain he's going to die. Soap, an EOD tech amongst his other specialties, is the only person available to at least try to save him. It should be fraught, and tense, and miserable all around, and it is; a whole lot of Ghost slowly losing his mind while Soap does everything he can to save his life. But it would probably be easier if Ghost wasn't a stress-flirter, and if Soap wasn't the kind of endlessly competent that he loved, and if, by virtue of their situation, they didn't keep ripping open each other's wounds and then patching each other back up again after.

Summary
The final contract of Liyue. That’s what Rex Lapis had called it.
An agreement to test his people, to see how they would be able to stand on their own and to allow them to move on from the age of gods and monsters into the dawning age of man. Rex Lapis knew they would be challenged in ways they had never been before, but despite appearances, he would be there to catch them if they fell.
However, there were things he hadn’t accounted for despite all his careful planning. He had known that the Tsaritsa’s Fatui were sent to cause chaos - that Childe was a Harbinger and therefore would be at the epicentre - but he hadn’t expected this.
As his ancient foe rose from the depths of the Guyun Stone Forest, the Archon weighed the final contract of Liyue against the first and made his decision.

Izuku didn’t respond. It felt like hours before he blinked, shifting his half-lidded gaze to somewhere in the distance. Bakugo had never waited more patiently for anything. “Izuku it’s me, Kacchan. Izuku,” he repeated, increasing in volume and urgency. Midoriya hummed absentmindedly in response, earning a smile from Katsuki.
“-cchan?” Izuku whispered. A smile slowly crawled up his cheeks when he finally locked eyes with Bakugo. “Hi.”

Izuku looked up at him, staring at him with dull green eyes. “Will you kiss me?”Katsuki sighed. He pressed his lips to Izuku’s. He didn’t care if there was blood in his teeth or if his breath smelled like katsudon. The only thing in the world that mattered to him was that Izuku’s heart was still beating.

Harry withheld a snort. Riddle knew perfectly well what Harry meant by that. Harry could see it on his face. Whatever, I don’t have time for this. He still had to plan on how to deal with the Dursleys.
“Today is August 2nd, 1995,” Harry deadpanned, relishing in the way those words caught Riddle off guard. The feeling sent a jolt up his spine.
“How the– I traveled 50 years into the future?!” The sheer befuddlement and shock in those words were enough to make Harry believe that he’d gotten the date wrong.
