Being a pirate is not for the weak, Azure learned that early in adulthood.
But that never stopped him from being kind to everyone he met, while he was a single person crew he had many pirate friends and that comes with amazing perks. He got introduced to better merchants like Elliot, a professional sorcerer and potion maker named Dusekkar, and he got close to meeting king Shedletsky but he was busy so he met his son 1x1x1x1 instead.
All these relationships were very important to Azure and held a deep place in his heart, but something always felt missing, ah who was he kidding he knew what he was missing, love.
Thats not very easy to find though, especially for a pirate like him who never stayed on land for more than a week. Love was just something he always figured was never meant for him.

“Two Time! What did I say about wandering away from me??” Two Time flicked their tail in annoyance and fear as they was carried off by Amarah, “don’t swim near the surface…” they answered. Amarah got back to the underwater cave they both lived in “yes! Don’t swim near the surface! Humans are unholy creatures and defile the Spawn’s image of creation.” He then sat them down with a cold expression on his slightly scarred up face “now sit here and don’t move until I come back!” He then swam away, his dark gray mermaid tail disappearing from Two Time sight.
Two Time waited a few minutes for Amarah to be completely gone before quickly swimming out of the cave to go explore and collect trinkets.
They collected rocks, random underwater flowers, jewelry that was lost to the bottom of the sea, and other things they didn’t know the names of. They had always found interest in creations the humans made above the surface and abandoned it to be lost to the oceans mercilessly waves, they wondered how someone could just abandon things so beautiful.
suddenly Two Time felt something wrap around them and tangle around their fish tail, they began to thrash around desperately in hopes of getting free from whatever had grabbed them. Soon they heard loud snap and an horrible pain shot through their tail, also they felt a bunch of fish around them that began to slightly pile on top of them as whatever they were stuck in began to get lifted up.
The air above the water was painful for their gills to process so they straight up just passed out from the lack of water on their gills.

Azure pulled the net of fish up to where he was standing, he had a buckets on the side one was for fish the other was for whatever garbage or debris he found stuck in his net. As he dug through the massive pile of mostly salmon and cod when he saw something, it was hard to tell from how deep it was buried so it took him a second to dig through all the fish before he could make out what it was.
It was an arm, Azure freaked out and stumbled back, did he just fish up a dead body?! Or worse was someone swimming in the sea and he accidentally hit them with his boat and now he was a MURDERER!!!
Oh Telamon, he can’t go to jail! Azure eventually got the courage to start digging through the net in hopes of pulling the body out, as he tugged on the arm he thankfully realized that whoever got caught in his net was still alive they were just unconscious. Once he got most of the top half of the body out he heard a loud thud, Azure looked down and saw this person had a tail.
Holy heck he caught a mermaid! They were really rare to find since they were good at hiding apparently. Azure had a shocked look on his face before he fully picked them up and took them inside of the ship, he filled a bathtub with water and place them in the water. He also made sure to splash their gills as well to make sure they would start breathing again.

Two Time slowly blinked awake as they could finally breathe again, as they opened their eyes the lantern hanging from the ceiling hurt their eyes and they came face to face with Azure. Two Time shrieked and tried to squirm away “hey! It ok! I’m gonna hurt you I swear!” Azure pulled back so they wouldn’t get over stimulated, “w-who are you…? Where am I?” They asked nervously. “I’m Azure! Uhm you’re on my ship, you got stuck in my fishing net.”
Two Time was still trembling softly, the pain in their tail pulsed faintly and got agonizingly painful if they even moved it slightly. “Ngh… c-can you put me pain in the ocean now?” Azure looked nervous before grabbing their shoulder “I would but your tail looks heavily broken, if I let you free you’ll just cause more damage to it” he then stood up and went to grab his med kit, “I don’t have anything that will really fix the broken bone, but I have bandages to keep it from moving around to much and causing more pain.”
Azure moved in carefully, it was obvious Two Time was frightened so he didn’t want to cause them more fear. “Hold still, this might hurt for a second”
A second was an understatement to Two Time, the whole process of wrapping up their tail and putting an ice pack on it lasted at least 15 minutes.
“ok that should stop the pain for now, when we get to the main land I’ll stop by the medical dock and get you proper wraps and pain killers” Azure gave Two Time a towel to wrap around themselves as a makeshift blanket.
”thank you…” they said quietly, Azure smiled before going back outside to pull up the anchor and get moving again.
