Summary
Izuku Midoriya was ten years old when Kacchan went just a little too far. The teacher didn't stop him. His classmates didn't stop him. Izuku himself didn't stop him. After all, who cared about a quirkless, useless boy?
Well, his mother did. And even against all odds, Inko was dead set on giving her son the justice he deserved. Luckily, she found some helpful pro heroes on the way. -

Summary
“I think I’m jealous of you.” Well, fuck. That was not how she wanted to start.
She had planned to lead with hello, or an introduction, or something meaningful. Mother to mother. She had practiced, muttering under her breath in the shower or out on a walk around the lake. She had rehearsed, ever since she had agreed to this visit, this layover in Moscow with only one purpose before she continued on to St. Petersburg. Yuna had had her speech prepared. Meeting her son’s mother was important. She didn’t intend to mess it up.
“You don’t know what it’s like to lose him.”
or, six years after Ilya's death, Yuna visits Irina's grave

Summary
Alexei does not think about his brother.
So when he receives the text from Ivan, a succinct fuck, man, this is messed up, Alexei assumes, as is usually true, that it’s about sports. They’re both obsessive fans of Spartak Moscow, and there was a game the afternoon before that Alexei hadn’t caught yet.
And then Alexei clicks on the article and sees his own name. Rozanov, the Latin letters ugly and stark on the page. Alexei wonders for a half second why a Canadian paper is writing about him before he sees the first name, and then the words “plane crash,” and then the word “dead.”
Мертвый. Dead. His little brother. Fuck, man, this is messed up, indeed.
or: Alexei Rozanov finds himself going to Canada for his brother's memorial service. He's not exactly sure why.

Summary
Another "what-if" canon divergence, but this time make us cry (not new for me, but definitely next level).
What-if: the plane crashed, and Ilya died.
Glimpses of Shane's shock and grief:
Shane on the bus ride to the hotel, but instead of seeing Ilya's messages, he finds out the plane went down.
Shane at his parents.
Shane at Ilya's house. -

Summary
Before practice, Shane is caught off guard by the devastating news of an abrupt plane crash that took the lives of five Raiders players, including Ilya's. Unable to explain his grief to those closest to him, he retreats into himself, becoming a ghost of the person they loved until he's pushed to the brink of his own unmanageable pain.
---
“The Raiders Plane Crashed,” was what he had heard in the locker room. From Comeau, specifically.
Shane was pretty sure he kept talking, but if he was being honest, he didn’t hear anything past that. He just stared at his teammate’s lips moving, no sound seeming to reach his ears aside from the heavy thudding of his own heartbeat in them. There was this urge to snatch the phone out of his hand and read the news article for himself growing as the locker room managed to warp around him. But he couldn’t move, fear paralyzing him.
“You alright?” Hayden questioned, his voice tearing through the sharp silence his mind had forced upon him.
Shane flinched as he felt his friends hand on his shoulder, the sudden contact making him even more ill to his stomach. He didn’t dare try to nod or lie and say he was.
