\o/ Have to pause for a second to tell you guys how pleased and excited I am about this. The AO3 is everything I've ever wanted in an archive, and that's as a fanartist even more than as an occasional ficcer.
There are some great ideas throughout these comments! I pretty much agree with all of them. A few wishes of mine: -thumbnails, and also maybe ... deviantart allows you to view images in a smaller (not thumbnail, but definitely fitting any screen) and larger ("full view") size (and even has a "download" option to view really huge pictures on their own, similar to your standard right-click "view image" option). It's handy.
-tags for media type (b&w ink, digital painting, photomanipulation, comic, knit item, video), kept separate from content (fandom, pairing, theme) tags?
-not only subfolders or collections, but the ability to go directly from page to page within them (via arrow keys or the like) - very useful for comics.
Sites I'd most like to be able to import from would be deviantart and photobucket.
