Summary
Zuko realizes his destiny much earlier. As in, as soon as he wakes up in the palace after his Agni Kai and is told he is banished. Unfortunately, he's never been a patient one. So he storms right up to Ozai and tells him what he's going to do. And gets locked up for over three years. Then, one day, he's being pulled out and told he's the new Fire Lord.
A "Zuko never meets the Gaang and suddenly becomes Fire Lord after three years of literal torture" AU. In which the Gaang doesn't know what to think of the new Fire Lord who happens to be the missing nephew of Aang's firebending teacher, Iroh constantly has a headache, and, sure, maybe the world hates the Fire Nation, but the Fire Nation LOVES Zuko, and he can work with that.

He had forgotten what warmth felt like. True warmth. Not searing heat or the warmth you got when you were so numb it burned. Just… warmth …Finally, they came to a door. The server girl slipped past them and opened the door, moving through it and holding it open. Zuko’s wheelchair was placed on normal ground again and the girl moved to push it once more. They moved through a final hallway before the Fire Sage opened a final door and-
They were in the palace.
Zuko hadn’t known, for the however-many years he had been down there, that he was being kept right under the palace . They just… popped right out of a random door in the wall into the palace. His home . As if it were nothing . They turned and Zuko was slowly wheeled through the corridors.
After years of stone walls and cold, biting air, there was suddenly the warmth that came from being at the heart of the Fire Nation. The royal palace, with its red decor and deep golden accents. Zuko felt tears welling up in his eyes, and his arms were too weak to wipe at them.

“I have to go!” Yuuri blurts out. As an assistant coach, he needs to be at Minami’s interviews, even if it is Victor of all people standing right in front of him.
“Wait—” Victor says, but Yuuri has already ducked away. “Yuri!” he hears Victor call from behind him.
Yuuri doesn’t stop. He’s made that mistake before – why would Victor Nikiforov know who Yuuri is this year any more than he did last year? Yuri Plisetsky is debuting as a senior, after all, and might be here at the Cup of China to support his rinkmates.
It may be the sound of Yuuri’s name on Victor’s lips, but there is no way Victor is calling for him.
(Canon-divergence. The Nishigori triplets never upload Yuuri's rendition of Stammi Vicino online. Yuuri buys himself time to decide whether he wants to stay on the ice or retire by joining Minami Kenjirou's team as an assistant coach.

Losing Damian not only hurt beyond measure but also made Dick the last Bat standing. He had nothing keeping him in a broken world so goes back in time with only one ally (Damian begs to differ) and no plan except to protect everyone he can, at any cost.
Dick starts with making sure Jason never dies at the hands of the Joker and proceeds to track down and love his siblings (while maybe also plotting the destruction of the League of Assassins). He just doesn't realize that a clan of highly trained vigilantes are more than capable of realizing that Dick is not okay, and of returning his devotion with their own.

Draco's just grateful not to be in Azkaban. Or the Manor. He's hoping he can steer clear of Potter this year and grapple with his own problems. Unfortunately for him, Potter appears to be one of those problems. And that's not even addressing the fact that Potter's got serious issues of his own, which Draco realises as he's forced to share an Eighth Year dormitory room and several classes with the Gryffindor Git. If only they can make it through the year without killing each other, it should be all right, shouldn't it?

The hand, the same thing that had been pinning the mummy down, had grabbed her, hauled her up, up, up as she and Link fell, away from Link, away from her home, leaving her grasping at air as he fell below her and disappeared into a flash of green and gold. His gory fingers had brushed hers, so close but so far, almost but not enough, and then he was gone, and there had been nothing but the hand.She was alone. Completely and utterly, alone, high in the sky, with no way down.
Or, Link is missing, taken from Zelda after disappearing below Hyrule while face to face with a strange mummy, and Zelda will do anything to get him back. She just has to stop Hyrule from imploding while she does it.
