Summary
The komainu of the Leaf, children of the Light Realm and beloved of the world, have always been loyal hounds. Hatake Kakashi is no exception; uniquely blessed with God's eye, gifted in his bloodline, and talented enough to command the very Abyss, he is nothing if not a good soldier.
At least, he was.
But you see, when you finally start to look inwards, the cracks begin to show. Why is it that Uchiha Itachi, with the blood of his family dripping from every inch of his body, can occupy the Archon's throne without being questioned? Why is it that no jinchuuriki can disobey orders? And why is it that the power of the Abyss only ever manifested in the Uchiha clan?
Kakashi was taught never to bite the hand that feeds, but years of experience—and the incorrigible, incredible Yoshimitsu Rui—have made it evident: The hand that feeds is also the hand that keeps compliance.
And, personally (no thanks to being strongarmed into therapy), Kakashi's kind of over it.
