Jason has spent so long being angry. Now? Now he's just tired. Exhausted and alone he returns to the only place he's ever called home. But with bats looming around every corner and others trying to steal his territory, life isn't as simple as it used to be. So when he stumbles across a local baker looking to start a bookclub who is he to refuse? Who knows? Maybe it'll help introduce some much needed normalcy into his life.

I am enough.
Edward used to write it until his hand cramped. Line by line, page by page. It was a riddle in itself. Like a scripture. Repeated in the same way one might attempt to force a concept to become true through sheer accumulation.
Now it sat written in his mind. His hands were eager to return to their usual vices. Edward sat with it the way he sat with most questions. Waiting for it to resolve into a conclusion. Which it didn’t.

A look into Edward following the events of Batman 2022. Heavily inspired by the Riddler year one comic. I found myself wondering what Crane could be up to in the Reeves universe.
Edward's thought patterns are written with severe OCD in mind. Slight prosopagnosia.

The Riddler had done everything that he could think to. He stepped deliberately into the paths of reflections, kept his eyes glued for any movement that wasn't his own. When that didn't work, he began to taunt the mirrors, recorded one-sided conversations, investigated whatever he could parse of Ed's movements; each moment, he half-expected Ed's ghostly form to peek around the corner, exclaiming I got you! Aren't you so easily wound up? though such behaviour from him would have been entirely unprecedented.
But neither were long absences in-character for Ed, and if the Riddler knew one thing about staying one step ahead, it was this: expect the unexpected.
Or; after their chip is removed, Ed's presence doesn't immediately return to their mind. Months later, the Riddler grapples with the fact that he might not be coming back at all.

Two young adults head to Gotham for a vacation. Their two friends are coming too, but are a bit late. All goes well until a gunshot is heard in the night. Assault, kidnap, murder, all are crimes that were committed during this fateful night.
When the two friends arrive, the hotel is off limits. They sneak in and find the result of last night's crimes. Some people lived to tell the tale, while others brought it to the grave.
They, along with the police, are suspicious of the crimes.
These weren't an ordinary break in.
There was a bigger plot.
Something bigger than the police would have ever imagined.
This is a job for the Batman.
This fan fiction story is set in between the events of the Batman: Arkham Shadow, and Batman: Arkham Asylum video games.
