During this time, Wolf packs were attacked and oppressed, and Betas (Humans) were taken from their families to be ‘saved’ from the ‘savage’ ways of pack life to live in ‘civilisation’ within the structured human towns that these men built. They referred to those natives as animals, beasts, and savages. Soon, Wolf packs were pushed further across land to live in smaller and smaller locations. In later years, packs were ‘given’ land by the South Korean government as their own, officially known as pack land, to keep them to their designated land, and were hunted if they stepped outside of it.
