Summary
On days like this, Dennis would confide in God. He would spend hours at the foot of his bed, his knees pressed harshly the wooden flooring.
Begging for forgiveness from a God who never answered him.
Praying to be made clean and holy, until his knees went numb and finally gave out, leaving him heaving on the floor.

Robby turned to face Dennis, a warm smile rested on his wrinkled face
”Morning, sweetheart.”
”M-m- morning” Dennis had stuttered.

Summary
A young man stumbled up to them, looking visibly inebriated. He leaned into Robby's space, a glint of fear in his eyes despite the smile on his face.
“Heeyyy,” the young man slurred, Robby couldn't smell any alcohol on him, but that didn't mean much.
“Could you do me a like, reaally big favor?” Both Robby and Jack have turned to face the man at this point.
“What can we do for you, sweetheart?” Jack says, mildly amused. The kid's grin turns a little dopey at the pet name, and he seems to momentarily forget what he was doing. Robby nods, encouraging him to continue.
“Ooh, right,” the kid nods, “Can you pretend to be my boyfriend?” Jack snorts at that, Robby lets out a long, weary sigh.

A missing birth certificate should have been a routine paperwork problem.

Summary
Dennis is house sitting for Robby while hes on sabbatical, and is very normal and totally not weird about it.
He definitely doesn't smell his bed sheets and body wash and create very explicit sexual fantasies in his head, because that would be weird.
He is struggling to keep it together though.
Now with Robby calling him, joking with him, telling him personal things and treating him like a friend, he feels- yeah much worse.
He is going to get over this crush before Robby gets back, because Robby most definitely doesn't feel the same way and he wont lose his mentor just because he's so horny he could die.But what happens when Robby returns home a little early, eager to spend a nigh in his own bed, and yes maybe to check-in on Whitaker. (Because that kid is acting very very weird.)

Summary
Jack cleared his throat, leaning his forearms against the counter as he locked his eyes onto yours. “You asked earlier why we call you those names. Why we are so touchy with you, why we care so much about whether you are eating, or resting, or burning yourself out on the floor.”
You stayed completely still, your heart beginning to thump a frantic rhythm against your ribs as you waited for him to finish.
“We just,” Jack started, his voice wavering slightly before he let out a frustrated sigh, running a hand over his face. “Fuck, why is this so hard?”
Robby stepped in closer, placing his large, solid hand firmly on Jack’s shoulder, a grounding gesture that seemed to instantly steady his husband. Robby took over, his deep voice incredibly gentle as he looked down at you.
“What Jack is trying to say is that from the very first day you started working with us at the hospital, you had this presence. This incredible dedication and warmth that just drew both of us in. Before we even realized it, we both started falling for you.” -

From a prompt requested by themoonjellysblog1 on Tumblr:
"what do you think of writing Dennis seeing Robby holding little Jane doe and getting massive baby fever/leaks slick from seeing the alpha he's in love with cradling this little sweetheart nit going into full heat but like going and whining to trinity about it"I went a little over with it and give a hint of some more... hope you'll like it! ;)

At the end of his shift, just before setting off, Robby finds Whitaker’s lost badge. He’s about to leave it at the nurses’ station so it can be picked up the following Monday, but his brain decides to bring it to his house in person. What he finds in front of him is definitely unexpected. And it changes the whole situation.

Summary
Robby comes home to find a feverish Whitaker taking refuge on his sofa. A long night of delerium, high temperatures and nursely duties yawns before them.
Robby tried again, firmer this time. “Dennis.”
This time Dennis’s eyes opened.
Or nearly opened. They dragged halfway up, unfocused and glassy, stared somewhere just past Robby’s shoulder, then drifted away again as if holding him in view required too much effort.“You’re home,” Dennis whispered.
