Summary
After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

Followed this story as it was updating. What a wonderful work of fiction this author has blessed us with. The heart at the center and all the relationship building was expertly done. The social media companion piece brings this to a whole nother level. Can't recommend this series enough!!!

Summary
For one fragile moment, he feels weightless. There's almost no time left on the clock, they can run it out without any issues. He's scored the game winner and Ilya is going to come to his home and complain about the score tonight, will bitch and moan just to tease Shane into arguing with him, before he grasps the back of Shane's neck and pulls him into a heated kiss.
The next wave of pain hits and Shane folds forward, falling from his teammate's grasp as he screams.
