Summary
It’s screaming again. Shen Qingqiu lies unmoving in his bed, just listening to it for a long time. What wretched, heartbroken wails. It only stops for air, brief pauses as it fills up its lungs to screech it all out again, high and piercing. He put it in the sideroom to get it out of his sight, to try and muffle it, but it still feels as if it’s screaming directly into his ear. Not a soul on Qing Jing Peak must be able to rest with such a clamor.
Eventually, he does get up out of bed. It feels like dragging a corpse, his body aching and unwilling, still half torn apart from what he had gone through weeks ago. A pain so awful that it had felt like violation, torture. Almost nostalgic, really.
He opens the door to the sideroom, and it does somehow get louder. And there, in the little crib gifted (forced, snuck into his home while he was in labor) to him by Yue Qingyuan, is the infant. Shrieking, its voice ragged with unanswered despair, its little face screwed up hideously. It no longer looks red and shrunken all the time, but crying brings back that appearance.
It is almost always crying.

Summary
Shen Qiao, a deer hybrid who’d escaped the awful fate of being captured and experimented upon like many of his fellow hybrid shapeshifters, was saved by a wolf hybrid named Yan Wushi after being betrayed by his own kind. When Yan Wushi offered to help him rescue his clansmen from Lin Chuan, an institute infamous for experimenting on hybrids in the name of finding a cure for the virus that’d wiped out the majority of human population several decades ago, Shen Qiao was glad to accept his aid, only to fall deeper into the wolf’s entrapment.

“Do you regret trusting me?”“What’s there to regret about?” Shen Qiao glanced back up at him through forelocks disheveled by the wind, his gaze steady, almost indifferent. “Placing my trust in you is my decision and mine alone. If Yan-langjun decides Shen Qiao is no longer worthy of your time and attention, then so be it. I have never fooled myself into thinking we share the same aspirations in any way.”

Summary
Shen Yuan transmigrates as an infant into what is basically just a xanxia remold of his previous life, and meets Luo Binghe while they're both disciples of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect. The only problem: he doesn't realize he's a transmigrator and his memories of Proud Immortal Demon Way have been locked away. Surely that won't cause any problems, though. Surely he can protect the protagonist from his fate and make a better end to the story somehow anyway... right?

Summary
Shen Yuan, a Qing Jing researcher with low cultivation and an unhealthy interest in the demonic entities that crawl out of the rift in the abyssal zone of the ocean, gets his hands on an amulet to allow him to personally travel down there to conduct his studies. It gives him an aquatic spiritual form, with fascinating traits to help him survive at the bottom of the sea.
The problem is that he’s not only being allowed down there for his research. Twenty years ago, the levels of demonic energy emanating from the rift rose and haven’t fallen since. Cang Qiong monitors the coast, certain that there’s a powerful entity down there, lurking, biding its time. If possible, Shen Yuan is meant to find and report on that entity—but the chances of him actually stumbling across it are low enough to basically be zero, right?
Or: There is a creature at the bottom of the ocean. It takes exception to having its territory crossed over.
