    Montreal didn't take the news of Shane's and Ilya's relationship very well.

    Shane would've never thought that the hatred of his teammates could run so deep, until he finds himself lying half-conscious on the floor, with blood coating his lips and face.

    In the aftermath, Shane tries to protect Ilya as much as he can, not wanting to bother him with his fears.

    Ilya doesn't want to do anyhting more than protect Shane from his fears, afraid Shane's refusal to talk will change their relationship irrevocably.
