Summary
Lu Ten is born into light.
The blinding rays of the noon-day sun caressed his smooth face the moment the midwife caught him, cradling his slight body in her wrinkled hands. At noon the sun is at its most potent. An heir born under such strength would surely embody that power.
In recent years, when he recalls receiving the letter that announced his son’s birth, Iroh has thought that the sun may be most potent at noon, but it is also the moment at which it begins to decline.

Iroh goes from favored crown prince and celebrated general to exiled ex-crown prince and retired general. Becoming a better person is a process, and it came at a price. Iroh tries to make sense of loss and save his nephew.

Summary
Coming up to his room, the sea witch doesn’t even bother with knocking on the door. She just bursts in abruptly with, “Harry! Get your ass up and out of-”
Her voice cuts off while taking in his still form on the bed.
“Harry.” Uma goes to him and places one of her hands on one of his bare shoulders.
As she pulls her hand away, something glittery on her palm catches her attention.
“Gods,” Uma breathes, looking back at her best friend. “Harry, what did you do?”

“How long has he been like this?” Hades asks the fairy hovering at his side.
“Since we found him this morning,” Fairy Godmother replies.
At the stroke of midnight, like something out of a fairytale.
How fitting, Hades thinks.
Then this, he looks down at the distressed, but clearly beautiful young man before him, must be my Beauty.
“Adamh… diaspore…,” the VK murmurs, “gipsum… mellite…” Tears of pearl, deep golden and blue, form in the corners of his eyes.
I’m undoubtedly the Beast in this story, Hades thinks as he reaches out to wipe away some of the brunet’s pearling teardrops.

Summary
The alleyway erupts in its noise quite the opposite of what it previously held. There is no laughter. There are no giggles or light hearted conversation and congratulations. There is just Merritt and his fist yelling, “You son of a bitch!” and the other horsemen around him pulling at him, yelling at him, while the younger magicians scream and shout at him to get away from Charlie, the mastermind behind all this destruction of the people Merrit holds dear.
Merritt barely gets in one more hit, in approximately the same spot, before Jack and Atlas are pulling him off the younger man, with Bosco grabbing at Charlie, and June looking ready to deliver a punch of her own to Merritt's face.
“Calm down, dude,” Jack tells him as the older man struggles in his hold.
“Merritt, what has gotten into you?” Henley asks in bewilderment.
The mentalist is surprised that none of the other original horsemen have put the dots together yet. Then again, Merritt always knew he was the smartest amongst them.
OR
A good man died.

Summary
Life is a looping tape these days, for Peter.
Everyday was the exact same. Wake up at 6:30, do May a favour or two, head to the Daily Bugle to summit pictures, patrol from 3-6, head to his shift at the Otter's Repairs, have dinner with his aunt, patrol late at night, fall asleep at 3am when he finally crashed and continuously wake up in the middle of the night until 6:30. Rinse and repeat.
Peter’s been going through the motions of life since losing Gwen. In the mist of it, he catches the eye of none other than the Avengers, and finds that they make for good company.
