An attempt at a SI-fic with a character not quite lucky enough to be given easy access to the main cast. Sporting a fresh case of “amnesia” and a disgustingly overpowered cursed technique to balance out his ineptitude, the casual fan who’s replaced Naoya Zen’in has enough on his plate without having to muddle through clan politics and the social repercussions of incarnating as such an utter bastard. It’s going to be really hard to save the world and not die when he’s barely involved in the original plot … and when he never even finished the damn manga.
Maybe he’s only half-lying when he says he doesn’t remember anything.

An even stranger voice informs them that the only way to escape is to watch the past in all its confusing glory. It's a task that seems easy enough, if they can get Subaru to stop panicking.
A 'characters watch the anime' type of fic because it's my guilty pleasure trope and there can never be enough of them.

The most humble, the most charming—I am indisputably asserted as a man without defects in any manner at all! Shouldn't I deserve more? Shouldn't such a satisfied existence as me, naturally deserve more? Just because I offered those pigs I have as ‘comrades’ mercy over and over again, now they believe they can trample over my rights like this? That they can look down upon me, and laugh at me from the shadows like this?! I have no need for them—I have no need for anyone! If I had any less mercy, if I had acted as I should, then I would have torn them all apart in mere seconds. Aren't they misunderstanding their own power? Aren't they misunderstanding their own place?
