"We should get married," Luffy says in the middle of dinner, two days into Law's stay on the Sunny and too close to Dressrosa for comfort.

    Law chokes on his fish.

(Or: Luffy has a great idea and Law doesn't really get any say in it. Except when he does.)

But now he’s gone, and his existence is nothing but a memory. Luke is just another thing that happened. Luke is just another example of the wrong kinds of love throughout her life.

(or, it’s her first christmas with percy, and annabeth misses luke)

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is the series that made me fall in love with Neji/Naruto as a concept and also was probably the second ever NaruSasuSaku OT3 I ever read. Something about the worldbuilding and take on what it means to be a jinchuruki and the dynamics and politics of the Hyuuga clan and village really stuck with me even all these years later. I love how Team 7 is characterized here and the way their relationships develop. I'm not sure if it's for everyone and the formatting is wonky compared to the ffn version, but it remains a deeply formative Naruto fic for me from an era of anime fandom in transition and I adore it.
