Wemmbu's always despised the soulmate system. It's not as romantic as everyone believes; it's quite honestly stupid—and that's generous coming from Wemmbu.
But the universe doesn't care about what he thinks; it never has. When Wemmbu finally discovers who his "true love" is supposed to be, he can't help but hate the system even more.
