“He SHOT you?!” Christina shouted.
Orel sat next to her, on a splintered tree stump in the woods near Inspiration Point. His gaze fell to the ground. It was mid-day, when the area was less crowded with distracting sounds of rocking cars and teenage voices joined in enthusiastic Hallelujah. Normally the more tranquil sounds of the wind rustling the trees and the distant tweet of the birds would put Christina at peace. Now all it did was emphasize how quiet they had both become, after Orel’s story was done.
Orel’s cast dangled over the stump. Christina looked away when she realized she’d been staring.

Summary
Connie Swap is a completed fanfic series with Connie as the gem hybrid trying to live up to the expectations put on her by her guardians (Peridot, Lapis, and Jasper), her dad (Doug), and the long shadow cast by her mom (Citrine). Connie's adventure begins with Episode 1: Gem Glow and it quickly diverges from there.
Connie Swap draws inspiration from the show but it reinterprets as it goes: Connie is a very different protagonist than Steven and these are very different Crystal Gems. Each episode contains original art and several contain original songs.

Summary
This is a canon divergent 'reimagining' of the events after episode five. To put it simply, this story was spawned from a simple desire to write the cast to the best of my abilities in a 'zombie adventure' type setting. If you're seeing this after reading it, then you know the story well and truly went off the rails, and I say that with fondness. I ended up enjoying the 'alternate universe' I made enough to want to keep writing for it, so this is where I'll be organizing all of that. Expect the other works to be more experimental.
Fair warning, for the supplementary materials I'll be writing them as if the reader has already gone through the initial story.

They’re with their family—their friends—for another journey, one without the King’s Curse nipping at their heels, and everyone will be together for the foreseeable future. So Siffrin is fine. Great, even! The others don’t need to know that their experience in Dormont still hangs heavy as a noose around their neck.
They just need to get over it.
