Summary
River is little more than vermin to her village. Born of the town whore who treats her with scorn, she gets by day to day stealing from others, scurrying like a rat. It's no life for a child, and though she is surviving she hopes for something more. That day comes when a band of goblins using boys for mounts attacks her village, sweeping her up in their raid for new mounts. Will her life under the goblins be worse? Or will they find purpose in the Cockless steed?

Summary
I wanted to play with the idea of a world from the point of view of an unreliable narrator. In this story, a girl relates the tale of her life viewed through the lens of her sexual fetishes instead of historical accuracy, as she lies to herself, thus making it hard for the reader to know what is real and what isn't until she is forced to confront reality. Hopefully you find it an interesting tale.
